New Adult Swim Bump Builder App could be the best Twitter alternative out there

Anyone out there getting sick of social networking on TV? I mean I watched a rerun of South Park last night and there’s tweets all over the bottom of the screen and half of them you can tell are bullshit. However, one can’t deny the impact Twitter and Facebook has had on the news and on entertainment no matter how annoying it is. Not saying that I don’t partake in it, I do. My problem is when networks really abuse the fuck out of Twitter and make it to the point where everything has a hashtag or @ next to it. Notice we’ve been trying to really clean up that practice, but sometimes it’s difficult convincing others out social networking actually works in a business sense.

Adult Swim has embraced social networking, but not as hardcore as most. Their Tweets have definitely showed up on their world famous Bumps, but they’ve had a bump builder on AdultSwim.com for years that lets you get away from the crowded Twitter field and further customize your Bump with music and what not to better help you stand out. However, when it comes to Facebook, Adult Swim has always been the least active network which is both a blessing and a curse. Yea, they don’t whore Facebook out there like most networks do, but it would be nice to get more Official Facebook pages of the different programming that they currently have. Most of the shows on Adult Swim usually have someone do it in-house whereas most nets have social networking departments that manage that sort of thing, but this doesn’t seem to be the case for Adult Swim. Comparatively, Cartoon Network has Facebook pages for just about all of their programming despite the decreasing number of Young Teens using Facebook, but still you can like shows like Regular Show, Steven Universe, and more. Adult Swim? You try finding decent Facebook pages that’s OFFICIAL for Venture Bros., or Aqua Teen, or Rick and Morty and let me know how you make out! Seriously, your best bet is bookmarking us, because nobody keeps better tabs on Adult Swim shows than us and that’s why you love us and we love you!

However, Adult Swim just put out a new ‘Bump Builder’ App that may make every social networking company on planet Earth take note because if other networks had shit like this, the majority would go out of business. I kinda like GetGlue, but I never use it, however I may take a new liking to this Bump Builder App. Now instead of Tweeting Adult Swim bumps, you can now make your own bumps right from your iPhone or Android device by using their new App and probably get a better chance of having your sillery be seen by the Adult Swim masses!
