NYCC 2013: South Park: The Stick of Truth Preview
Fans going to NYCC were treated to a closed off preview of South Park: The Stick of Truth. To be honest I don’t know a whole lot about RPG’s and really don’t fancy myself whilst playing them, but from what I can see this game looks great and I can’t wait til it releases December 10th.
The preview starts with the kids meeting you, the new kid. You and the kids set off on a quick trip downtown where you get to check out the local taverns, a bard, and yea a shit load of elves. Yep, South Park’s take on elves might give you nightmares. That said, the sequence looked like something straight out of the South Park series, maybe even a little bit better. The last RPG I played was Final Fantasy 7, and similar to games of that ilk the game featured turn-based combat scenes, but it looks as though the producers moved that in favor of giving us a bigger picture of all of the crazy animations going on.
Some other features of the game includes level ups, being able to manage your inventory, choosing your class, and a shit ton of spells.
Check out a trailer for South Park: The Stick of Truth set to release December 10th on PS3, XBOX 360, and PC.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
