NYCC 2013 Panel Recap: ‘Rick and Morty’ is more than just another Dan Harmon series
At the Rick and Morty panel, fans were treated to a first-look at half of the pilot while still in development and it looks tasty. The story follows a scientist named RICK whom is just crashing with MORTY and his family played by Chris Parnell (MORTY’s Dad) and Sarah Chalke (MORTY’s Mom). The voice performances so far are absolutely stellar, and Chris could be a dark horse star of the series much the same way he is in Archer.
The direction of the series should help soothe the wounds for fans of Futurama, and most importantly the series is fucking HYSTERICAL! RICK is just out of control maniacal as he slurs and spits whilst yelling in an Inception-esque story line featuring Freddy Krueger. Chris Parnell’s character takes on a dog that is fixated with a RICK invention that turns the puppy into an Iron Man-esque contraption, but with evil intentions.
This series could steal the world when it premiers this December on Adult Swim. Keep checking back for updates.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
