Lookout YouTube Commenters: Dr Dewey Pfister Has Some Instant Life Lessons for You

Finally, a man whose opinion we can all respect takes on the geniuses of the YouTube comments section! Lookout racists, misogynists and general douche-canoes, Dr. Dewey Pfister is on your case.

So, a few years ago, when the internet was still a thing of awe and wonder in my eyes I didn’t know the deal with YouTube comments. I constantly wondered why people seemed so eager to yell numbered positions after a video and why being “First!!” was so important. I also noticed a few comments where people typed out verbatim a line or two from the video I just watched, “what a strange custom” I thought, “maybe its part of the rules on YouTube“. Later on, I nearly fainted as I read the poorly spelled outbursts of misogyny and neo Nazi levels of racist abuse; “someone needs to know about this” I figured, and proceeded to inform everyone I came into contact with online about the awful things I’d witnessed.

After about a week of genuine shock and bewilderment ( “how does the internet allow this, don’t the internet police do anything to stop it?” ) it dawned on me that everyone knows about YouTube comments and that the section is the seventh circle of hell, a place so dark, so inhospitable that only true Lovercraftian beings dwell there. YouTube commenters aren’t people like you and I, they are hoary shoggoths with minds full of loathing mouths full of acidic bile.

Imagine my delight when I saw that Official Comedy’s  motivational speaker and animated tutor of Life Lessons, Dr Dewey Pfister, has decided to take on a few of the nonsensical utterances that pass for comments on his YouTube channel. You go Dewey, someone needed to do this!
