BubbleCAN Review: Fugget About It ‘From My Cold Limp Hands’

Jimmy and Gina get attitude adjustments while regulating to a gun-free Canada in this week’s episode “From My Cold Limp Hands” – “cold” alluding to the frigid Great White North temperatures, and “limp” referring to Canada’s passive nature. But the latter is just a stereotype, right? Fugget About It takes on a new external conflict as well: man vs. beast, or better yet, Jimmy vs. a condom eating raccoon.

It all starts when Gina brings a gun to show-and-tell at Celine Dion Elementary School, creating a media sensation. When McCool realizes the McDougals still embody the Falcones’ old ways, he strips them of their arms. When Jimmy has a hard time adjusting to a gunless life, Petey and Theresa give their father a Canadian makeover.

The “King of New York” rapidly changes to the “King of the schnooks” after donning a Canadian tuxedo, and we also see a transition from pumping raccoon-ass full of lead to rounds of fisticuffs to finally paying the annoying mammals protection money.

Meanwhile, Gina makes her own transformation from little tyke-of-terror to a treasured tea-party-throwing tot. When faced with the decision of taking “special happy pills” or enrolling in a special school for children with helmets, the mini-mobster chooses the former.

It’s quite the change of pace for both the Falcones, especially when Jimmy is referred to as “Canadian Dad!” and coins the term “forget Aboot it!” Unfortunately, Jimmy becomes so passive he develops erectile dysfunction. In a strategy to bring Jimmy back to his game, Cookie and Theresa devise a plan to enrage Jimmy with so much envy, he can’t help but prove to his wife he is the only man capable of pleasing her.

Employing McCool as a “greasy Latin hustler,” in a pirate shirt and a long, brown wig (a harlequin-esque figure any housewife would enjoy, especially Cookie, since she already fancies McCool), Jimmy must make a decision; kick McCool’s characters ass and give his wife the lovin’ she deserves, or continue in his passive ways.

Whatever the outcome, tonight’s episode had plenty of laughs. And don’t believe everything you see on television. There are plenty of aggressive assholes in Canada.
