Comedian Amber Tozer sells animated series to FOX ADHD!
Dino Stamatopoulos (High School USA!) really is the best and apparently he had a hand in a recent pitch that got picked up by FOX ADHD.
Amber Tozer recently announced on her Facebook page that she had sold a new animated series called The Tozer Show to FOX ADHD and it will air sometime in 2014 and that Dino was her inspiration in pitching the series which led to a pickup. And if Dino likes the idea, then it must be good because not only is he a head writer for Community, but his shows like Moral Orel, Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole, and now High School USA! are or have been very strong over the years so he knows good writing when he hears it.
This isn’t the only new animated series premiering in 2014, as FOX is premiering both The Lucas Bros. Moving Company and Golan the Insatiable in January, but you won’t have to wait that long because there is going to be a sneak peeks of both shows on November 23rd on FOX. Even better, Dino’s series High School USA! returns with new episodes on Nov 2nd, along with new Axe Cop so November should be pretty awesome.
Below is the statement posted by Amber Tozer, we will deliver more info as it comes:
Hello everyone I’m happy to announce that I sold my animated series THE TOZER SHOW to FOX ADHD – the late night animation block on FOX on Saturday nights. It will air in 2014. I’m so happy and excited and grateful and I feel like overeating. A very special thanks to Dino Stamatopoulos – he helped make this happen and encouraged me to pitch it. Thank you Dino!
I will post more details later maybe when I know if it’s ok to post more details. I don’t know if it’s ok yet. Ok! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! Thanks for everything.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
