BubbleCAN: Get Touchy Feely With New Series Time Molester

We don’t give the pederasts enough love do we? They are so marginalized by society we don’t stop to think they might be having great adventures too!

No! No…wait, come back, this isn’t going where you think it is, I promise. I’m saying this to you to ease you into the idea of watching a show about a time travelling nonce ( British for convicted sex offender) because if I came straight out with that suggestion you may take it the wrong way. Let’s roll with it anyway and take a look at new series Time Molester.Created by Dion Coursen Time Molester is the story of  “wrongly accused” Darren Carson and out and proud kiddy lover, Big Mel, who are forced into an unlikely friendship via the parole boards buddy system. Now, I know from the opening titles and the shows name, also from Dion’s introduction on twitter ( “Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure and the Woodsman” ) that at some point in time there will be temporal travelling shenanigans but this first episode is taking things slowly and merely sets the stage for future chronological capers. For now, we’re merely taking in just how uncomfortable Darren is with this arrangement ( very, he’s very uncomfortable).

It’s early days yet but so far I’m digging Time Molester, the animation is quite Archer-ish and clean but realistically proportioned and nicely stylised. Episode one is a well set up premise and it tells us everything it needs to about the characters in Time Molester. The show is evenly paced and in no hurry to get to the punch line, I respect that, this makes us accept that we’re in this for the long haul, I’m definitely tuning in for episode two.

By the way, did you see how many time based synonyms and antonyms I managed to squeeze into those paragraphs? I’m very pleased with myself.
