Shorts Review: Red vs Blue Season 11 Episode 11

Spoilers Below

In episode 11 of Red vs. Blue, the Blues (plus Simmons) tried to cope with Caboose’s lack of leadership skills. After Agent Washington suggested someone fix the radio, Caboose randomly appointed Tucker to the job, rather than Wash, who actually built the radio in the first place. Washington was assigned to be a lookout instead, and Simmons was assigned the task of doing whatever he did at the Red Base (which turned out to be sucking up to the boss.)

At the Red Base, Sarge (with Grif, Doc, and Donut) reasoned that if Freckles came from the ship, there must be a weapon onboard capable of destroying him.

But all this was peanuts compared to the last minute of the 8-1/2 minute episode. The scene cut away to the pilot of the ship that dropped off Doc & Donut as he filled up his ship with fuel. As he began to call in the crashed ship that he spotted, he is shot and killed by the mystery soldier, now known as Locus.

Red vs. Blue is continuing to masterfully walk the line between comedy and drama, especially this episode, which had the usual humorous dialogue between the Reds and Blues, but still finished with an intriguing ending, and a lot of questions.

Tune in to next week’s show to find out more. Or tune in just for the laughs. Or tune in for both. Whatever your reason: just be there. And then be here afterward for a recap and review!
