Review: Uncle Grandpa ‘Moustache Cream’

Spoilers Below

Uncle Grandpa really needs Moustache Cream, but when he goes to the store to buy some the line at the cashier is hella long. Thankfully the perfume counter opens up, but when they get there they get mugged with numerous vials of perfume before they can purchase the cream and make a run for it. All of the sudden, a big huge moustache comes around and tries to beat up everyone, but UG is able to beat the mustache up with the help of Mr. Gus and Pizza Steve. He gives the mustache back to its rightful owner, or does he? BURN IT!

Uncle Grandpa changes a light bulb

How many UGs does it take to change a light bulb??? One.

I’m starting to get a grasp on Uncle Grandpa and it’s pacing which is good because it really is silly. To be honest it has some shades of Family Guy, but minus the crass humor. I know it sounds weird, but often times Peter kicks off his episodes with such a mundane task like going to the pharmacy, only to have it turn into a fuster cluck of cutaways and events that become a hodge podge of anarchy. It works. It still works for Uncle Grandpa. The fact that he has to beat up a maniacal mustache is proof enough that Peter Browngardt knows this is a cartoon and he uses that to his advantage. Nothing TOO serious here, the fun is just enjoying the moment.
