Review: Teen Titans GO! ‘The Left Leg’
Spoilers Below
Cyborg’s gotta new toy. Similar to Voltron, its a giant robot that needs all of the members of the Teen Titans to operate it. Problem is Robin really wants to take this thing for a test drive, but Cyborg opines that the robot is only for extreme cases and not necessarily an every day need. Luckily enough a bank robbery occurs down town and after a bit of convincing by Robin, Cyborg agrees to break out the robot but HE has to drive much to the dismay of the Boy Wonder. The guys show up to the robbery in progress and yea the robot looks like it is a bit of an overkill and even more so when Robin starts going nuts with his left leg assignment. Eventually, the robot falters and the robber gets away. Back at base, Robin is pissing and moaning all about the fact that he is the left leg, but soon he actually does come around and even starts to accept the fact that he is indeed a leg. A crime is happening somewhere, so the team members team up in the robot so that they can go to war with a bunch of huge robots! We find out that Robin’s left leg has all these new features which gains the ire of the other team members and thereby causing the ‘T’ to crash and burn.Thankfully, Robin fitted the left leg to be self sustaining and as such it saves the day.
A rather well-written episode, but you had to understand Robin’s jealousy. Here’s a kid whom had to play second fiddle to Batman and while HE got to use a bunch of awesome gadgets to take down BIG time villains and Robin was the one fighting off whomever the villain hired that day from 1-800-Bad-Guys. So of COURSE he was going to be pissed when Cyborg debuts a new gadget and he’s relegated to the LEG! Blasphemy! In any case, his response to the situation was hysterical and the action scenes were fast-paced and loads of fun. I wish some of the other characters got a bit more involved, but other than that this week was good.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
