BubbleCan Review: Fugget About It ‘The Broadfather’

Overview (Spoilers Below)

We’re well aware that Fugget About It sports an intentional take on culture clash – it’s something more noticeable this season – and tonight’s episode, titled “The Broadfather”, takes us to territories less explored in recent episodes, mainly robots and transsexuals.

Growing tired of using tube socks and his sister’s Cosmo magazines, Petey decides to build a robot replica of himself. A suave machine, programmed to woo the ladies, and after the hook is set, Petey can take care of the rest. Unfortunately, Peteybot takes a liking to being a womanizer and the real Petey gets the repercussions.

Meanwhile, shit hits the fan when Jimmy forgets Cookie’s birthday. After taking her to a theatre and getting backstage access, he learns his estranged transgender father is one of the performers.

Jimmy shows much ill feeling towards his father and his lifestyle changes, until we later learn that he is more upset that his father left him when he was young.

The ex-capo then tries to overcompensate for his father’s shortcomings by trying to be father-of-the-year. He even buys ill-tempered Gina a pony.

Of course, Jimmy and his father reconcile during a Mexican standoff and end up participating in a father-son ass whooping with their opponents.

Elsewhere, Petey tries to shutdown Peteybot for good, resulting in their own man versus machine standoff.
