Spoilers Below

Mordecai’s getting ready to ask Margaret to OFFICIALLY be his girlfriend. Why? Well, as it trns out they seem to have a lot of fun together no matter where they go. He ain’t doin’ it on the cheap either as he’s taking Margaret to the swankiest place in town  ‘Steak Me Amadeus’ equipped with Amadeus dollars that should help shave the cost. With Margaret running a little late, Mordecai looks to try and get seated but instead he gets smashed by a SWAT team. Turns out the Amadeus bucks were fake and a Mulder and Scully-type duo are looking to latch Mordecai and the rest of the park. Thankfully, Mordecai gets off fast in exchange for helping nab the fake bucks dealer. The plan goes off without a hitch but the Dice Guy from the Fun Fun Zone shows up as the dealer and he’s hot for revenge! Turns out this guy’s been looking for Mordecai and Rigby a while now, but the agents bust down the door and try to make an arrest. But, the rest of the Fun Fun Zone gang shows up packing heat and all of the sudden we got ourselves a gun fight. With everyone preoccupied, Margaret and Mordecai tell each other their secrets, and guess what? Margaret got accepted into her dream college and can’t be with Mordecia. Bummer, dude.

Again, the Margaret and Mordecai arc continues to be the best thing going for the series. The story is just so smart and heart-warming that I would be willing to piece it all together for a single DVD.The gun battle was existential, but maybe a tad-short. However, the Fun Fun Zone gang was a welcome sight and proved to be a hysterical plot point for the show. The ending scene with Mordecai and Rigby sitting on top of the roof with a couple of cold ones, and if that’s the last scene we get for the summer then I’m happy as hell.
