As if my Monday nights weren’t already busy enough, Cartoon Network announced the release date and time for Uncle Grandpa.
I hope you plan on getting all of your Back-To-School partying over with a bit early on Labor Day because you’re gonna want to be glued to your TV starting at 8pm EST for a really impressive block of shows, with Uncle Grandpa tossed in the mix. Fans of Cartoon Network will notice that this time on Monday nights has been home to Regular Show for a good long while now. Could we be seeing Regular Show moving to a different slot? Cartoon Network PR was unable to get back to us by time of posting, but we will keep you in the loop as soon as we hear back.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Uncle Grandpa here’s a bit of background on the show:
Uncle Grandpa is a show about everyone’s “magical” uncle and grandpa who travels around the world in a mystical RV. His mission is to help people however, wherever and whenever they need it. Through his child-like and innocent ways, he finds unusual solutions to everyday situations, even if there was never an issue in the first place. An eternal optimist, Uncle Grandpa’s glass is always full of something delicious and he’s always ready to greet the day (and everything and everyone) with his signature, “GOOD MORNIN’!”
The plot has me hooked, but what about support and voice cast? The show comes to us from the creative minds of Pete Browngardt and Audie Harrison of whom has signed on to be the creative director. As for the voice cast, we’ve actually got a pretty impressive crew including:
- Eric Bauza (Ben 10 Omniverse)
- Kevin Michael Richardson (Green Lantern: The Animated Series)
- Adam Devine (Workaholics, Pitch Perfect)
- And many more!
From the looks of it, this show has all the potential to be just as big of a hit as the rest of the Monday night line up, especially if it stays paired up with Adventure Time and Regular Show. I think those two shows compliment the style I’ve seen so far, and we could really be looking at a return of a prominent, powerful line-up we’ve not seen since Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo and Dexter’s Lab crushed the Friday night line-up so many years ago. And I for one couldn’t be happier.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
