Paley Center to air new special featuring ‘The Simpsons’
The Simpsons are in some pretty exclusive company, learn all about it after the jump!
The Simpsons are in re-runs right now but Season 25 is right around the corner beginning Sept. 29th only on FOX. With a whole host of awesome guest stars in tow as well as a kick-ass cross-over special with Futurama this could be the best one yet.
But, its all about how you start and the Paley Center in NYC is going to show us just that because NBC is set to air TV’s Funniest of the Funniest: A Paley Center for Media Special on September 1 from 9-11 PM ET on NBC. The special will be highlighting the top 30 funniest moments in television from the last 60 years. Programs including Seinfeld, The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, Friends, Will & Grace, Everybody Loves Raymond, Cheers, Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, The Cosby Show, Modern Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Love Lucy, The Carol Burnett Show, and All in the Family will be part of the countdown special.
All in all, I think its pretty awesome that The Simpsons is kind of our animated flag in that illustrious list of shows, but I couldn’t help but notice that Stressed Eric is nowhere on this list…

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
