Comics Review: Simpsons Comics #205
A Brand New Smithers
Smither decides to innocently walk down the street one sorrowful evening when all of a sudden he gets struck by lightning which in turn expands his Amygdala and as such gives him a boost of confidence around work. Right away he starts ordering Burns around and soon with the help of Burns rival Amadopolis he’s able to over throw Monty and take over as CEO!
Burns eventually goes nuts, so Smithers decides to promote Homer to COO of the plant! However, the whole thing was just a ploy to get Burns controlling stake back in the plant for Smithers so that he can go back to doing what he does best…nothing. Turns out Burns saw the whole thing coming, but the last thing Smithers does is he fires Homer, but rehires him to work in Sector 7-G.
The latest issue of Simpsons Comics gives us a wildly original tale featuring Smithers that offers laughs in bunches. From Smithers yelling at Malibu Stacy dolls to his reaction when he catches Homer going crazy, this month’s issue was a laugh riot. Despite the fact that Homer seemed to be just thrown in there for really no reason, $2.99 is still a great buy.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
