Spoilers Below
Midday on the Midway Chapter 1: Weight a Minute
The Simpsons are at a local fair and Bart and Lisa get a bunch of cash from their parents and are looking to double down by betting Frink that his robot couldn’t guess Bart’s weight. As a result, Bart forks over all of the money he got from Homer and Marge and ends up losing the bet and as such the money. However, his confidence isn’t swayed, he goes over to Wiggum and Horatio cries fowl, eats candy, and is able to weigh HEAVIER the next time around getting Frink arrested. Bart and Lisa? Get their cash back!
Mid Day on the Midway Chapter 2: art’s Springfield Freakout
The kids get ticked at this dude who claims to have all of these side-show attractions but of course, he doesn’t and is just a scam artist. As a result, Bart and Lisa seem to have trouble finding any TRUE freaks in Springfield…or do they?
Midday on the Midway Chapter 3: A Fair to Remember
Bart runs out of money at the fair, but when he gets declined by his parents for a refill he decides to get even by entering Homer into a pig contest. This leads to a chase that sees Homer get dressed up as a pig, so much so that he wins an award at the contest den! Not only does he win, but Frink wins for his robot going crazy, and Marge wins for being a great mom. What does Bart get for all his troubles?? A dunk!
The Crimespree on Springfield 2
Bartman, Houseboy, and Bartdog team up to investigate an evil squirrel. Their quest takes them to an alternate Springfield where they meet their hero counterparts Fighting Owl and Four-Eyes. At first, they look to duke it out, but they eventually team up to take down the evil villain-ness ‘Squirrel Girl’ of whom happens to be related to Owl. The nerds team up to dump a bunch of peanut butter on the crazy bitch, and Bartman and crew return home.
How Sweet It Ain’t
Willie cares for the kids’ health so he hires a chef named Darcy Michael to completely change the lunch menu back to front so that the kids can eat right. Bart decides to make a business out of this by smuggling in snacks and then charging kids for them. Eventually, Darcy catches him so Bart decides to add Homer into the smuggling business. However, when Homer comes in on an X-Ray machine, Darcy figures out that really the Simpsons are still up to no good and as such get caught. BUT, as it turns out, Darcy’s been stealing all of the junk food and is eating it right under everyone’s noses. However, instead of disgracing the son of a bitch’s name, Bart and Homer make a deal to get junk food back in school!
Meanwhile, Lisa gets thrown out of school lunches due to her sarcastic attitude towards Darcy. She eventually stumbles onto Frink’s television show where the crazy Professor does insane experiments with really no point. As a result, Lisa flips out and exacts revenge, but its fine because she’s been fed.
Hold Up No 47
Snakes takes off with the cash and the last expired candy bar in Apu’s collection.
Homer Beats the Heat
Homer tries to get Lisa to keep cool so he goes all over and tries to get her comfy. Eventually, he just settles on a hospital.
Might MMORPG Player Rangers
Basically its The Simpsons meets WOW. I’ve never played WOW so read it for yourself.
Second Hand Life
Homer and Lisa run around in Second Life to try and get Lisa a digital sax. However, Homer prefers the real thing.
Might MMORPG Player Rangers II
Again, its The Simpsons but this time they start out as Halo and end as WOW.
The Spectacular Spider-Pig
Cat Lady wants to get the pig but instead gets Snowball II
Radioactive Man the Movie Adaptation
So, its not the real Radioactive Man, its the movie adaptation staring Ranier Wolfcastle as the titular hero, Milhouse as Fallout Boy, and Krusty the Clown as one of the minions belonging to supervillain Dr. Clownius of whom daylights on TV as a nuclear scientist trying to warn people of the harmful radioactive effects that Radioactive Man possesses as a result of his superpowers. Thankfully, the dynamic duo are able to put away crime even if it means Fallout Boy staying out past his bedtime!
Moron Kombat
Bart has to fight Kearny after school but thanks to being programmed like a fighting game he actually puts up a decent battle. Unfortunately, Milhouse is yelling out the commands. I bet you know how this one ends.
The League of Extraordinary Barts
Bartman, Cupcake Kid, and Stretch Dude team up to take on Evil Bart high up in his castle. At first, it looks as though Cupcake Kid is even going to turn evil, but really he just creates a diversion so that Bartman and Stretch Dude can escape from a trap. Once they do, the three B’s end up wrecking the house and as such take out evil Bart once and for all.
Simpsons Save the World
A curator in the year 2200 takes us through a bright history of The Simpson family narrowly saving the world from damnation.
Our Take
I’m unsure of the point of this collection as it felt more like a Bart Collection than a Simpsons one. Featuring Radioactive Man, Bartman, and more I literally thought I was getting another One-Shot. We also had a LOT of video game-inspired episodes coming from WOW, Halo, Second Life, and Mortal Kombat all of which were funny but after a couple started to lose its luster. That said, we do get some nifty cutouts and a lot of the strips are entertaining, but with a $17 price tag, you could do a lot worse than this collection.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
