Comics Review: Axe Cop Vol. 4

Do you have any idea what it took to find this motherfucking issue?

Axe Cop Volume 4 TPB President of the World

Do you have any clue what it took to find Axe Cop Vol. 4? I am based in NJ, I went ahead and ordered this issue at my local comic shop but instead got Vol 1…two weeks later. But, I couldn’t do much so then I went on a business trip in Los Angeles where I went to BOTH Meltdown Comics right on Sunset as well as another store and NEITHER spots had Axe Cop. NEITHER. I then proceeded to the closest Barnes and Noble, but they didn’t have it, but AT LEAST the hot lady at the front desk was able to order it for me and have it delivered to where I live in NJ.

Despite all this…I’m writing the fucking review because I had been looking forward to this release for a while. And thankfully the read was well-worth the wait. Now that the show is on, its pretty cool getting almost a throw back to the way things were presented. However, also because of the show and this new release, I now have a laundry list of characters that I really want to see in the show. From Goo Cop and Junior Cobb to Every Man and a shit-mess of aliens, I wanna see them all. But who knows? Maybe its like a Walking Dead type thing where I have to separate print from show.

In any case, President of the World is worth every cent of the $10 price tag. If you are a long time web comic fan of Axe Cop, you should buy this for the gorgeous pinups. If you are new to the Axe Cop comics by way of the TV show, this collection should help add to your wonder that comes with the show’s wonder. And lastly, if you are someone whom has never ever heard of Axe Cop, well now’s your chance because the mythos and characters are the stuff that should make DC and Marvel envious.
