Shorts Review – @MondoMedia GUEST PASS! @PeepholeCircus – “Steve Jobs (He Enslaved The World With Shiny Things)”
Although 1984 was the year of my birth, and clearly I consider that important, I’d say that 1985 was the year that shaped me into whom I’d become today. Some of you will say, “But ChefRich, how could you say that you were shaped when you were barely 1 years old? Your brain was still tapioca pudding and you shit yourself on the regular.” And while your words would ring true I would respond, “I want my MTV!” Ya see, when I was a little ChefRich, my parents thought it was an incredible idea to expose me to music, and what better way to do that than through the budding new network full of moving pictures and bright colors? They had the best of intentions. They really thought it would help in the development and growth of my budding mind. What they didn’t know was that this time in front of the TV would lead to YEARS sitting in front of it. Pretty sure I could have listened to all of this stuff on tape while playing outside. But that’s ok, I’m comfortable in my mildly round and soft body, and I got to experience some of the latest and greatest technology of the times. No where was this more prevalent than the 1985 cinematic masterpiece put out by Dire Straits entitled “Money for Nothing.” This video had it all: Colorful zigzags, quasi-3d animation, and British people. I can vividly remember singing this song like it was my goddamned job when I was a little tike. This video had all the power and circumstance to make me into a musician, an animator, or a Brit. I was putty in its hand. And that exactly how most of the world felt for Steve Jobs and Mac in general. Nice transition, right? ::Star wipe::
Clearly the video we got from PeepholeCircus for their Mondo Guest Pass is an ode to Steve and what could be his not so good intentions while on this planet. He really did take away some of our free will and cause us to purchase products that we would never need. But that’s the beauty of the social hierarchy we’ve got going on. Whoever has the shiniest crap gets the biggest piece of the pie. It’s determination for all the wrong reasons, yet none of us do anything to stop it. Mind you, I’m not volunteering to give away any of my shiny crap. Frankly, I like pie just a bit too much.
And now to the actual review. At the heart of it all, this is a really great Minecraft mod. Lots of great coloring and setting changes to go along with a really catchy song no matter your stance on the Mac vs. Droid battle. It’s a personal preference, really. Either you like autocorrect or you like swype. Na, that’s not true, no one likes swype. Mac forever, baby!!!
Shorts Review Score – (8/10)
(@chefrichBB) can’t wait until Apple comes out with an implantable phone for your brain. My head is so big I’ll be able to get two plus a fax machine for business purposes!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
