Six Days ’til Larry Bird is on Futurama: Part 1

As we celebrate a NEW episode of Futurama next Wednesday Night guest starring the great Larry Bird, we decided to chronicle some of Larry Bird’s career highlights so this way you guys know how awesome he is.

If you are a fan of College Basketball for any reason then you better love this one because had it not been for the 1979 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament we might not even have basketball. Why? Well up until that point basketball was considered a lower-tiered sport but after 40 games were played the last two standing involved Indiana State and Michigan State. The final game was won by Michigan State 75-64, but it would only be the start of one of the greatest rivalries in the history of basketball: Larry Bird vs Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson.
