From the makers of Robot Chicken comes a new animated series, but is it any good? Find out in the review after the jump!
Some Spoilers Below
Ever wonder how the dynamic is between Ron Perlman and Guillermo Del Toro when they aren’t making Hellboy movies? Welp, Stoopid Monkey is here to help and the Robot Chicken house does a pretty humorous job of giving us just that. In the first episode we actually get to see Ron and Del Toro almost take a Seinfeld-esque approach to kind of arguing about a bunch of topics that most probably wouldn’t think ab. From flip-up sunglasses and outlet malls these guys really hash out a number of comical one-liners that should appease the masses. With Ron clearly trying to grab attention from Guillermo in showing off his glasses in a clever exchange,
Ron: “Zornok!”
Toro:’Who’s there?
Ron: “My sunglasses
Toro: “My sunglasses, who?
Ron: “My new sunglasses are on my face and they are super cool!
The setup to the sunglasses is so Kramer, hence my obvious ode to Seinfeld. The stop-mo looks great and serves as a bit of a departure for Stoopid Monkey going with an almost Dino Stamatopoulos style to it akin to Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole. That said, even if the voice work done by creators Dan Lippert and Justin Michael was sort of ‘meh’ the overall presentation is very well done and definitely deserving of a few watches.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
