Welcome back from the long weekend. Hopefully, like me, you got a chance to both relax and blow some shit up. Oh yeah, and wasn’t it Independence Day? Hopefully you had a chance to enjoy that as well.

Anyway, from the red, white, and blue to the Red vs. Blue. The series’ fourth episode began with Caboose still wallowing and wandering in despair over Church. After a humorous soliloquy, Caboose spotted something, greeted it, and went off running excitedly, eventually completing Wash’s difficult obstacle course in a matter of seconds. Tucker, on the other hand, was forced to complete the course against his will, and barely performed at an “adequate” level.

At the Red base, Simmons scolded Grif for using his toothbrush and putting an excessive amount of dishes – even clean ones – in the kitchen sink. Wash then arrived asking to borrow a tool kit, insulting the Reds for spending their time “playing house.” In one of the funnier moments of the episode, Sarge begins to contest this point, only to end up reprimanding himself for walking over the short, sandbag pile that was acting as an imaginary wall, instead of using the imaginary door. In the end, Sarge decides to build a robot to fix the broken communications dish.

Between Caboose, Tucker, and Sarge, this episode had its fair share of laughs. I think it’s time for the plot to actually start going somewhere, but I’m guessing that’s already part of the plan. This wasn’t the strongest episode of the season thus far, but it’s definitely still worthy of a watch.
