Review: Phineas and Ferb ‘Knot My Problem; Just Desserts ‘
Spoilers Below
Doof is taking over all of the buffets. Of course Perry goes over to see what Doof is up to and as a result gets trapped and hears all about Duff’s plan to open a buffet place of his own with his new -inator that makes ppl really hungry. Despite being tied up Perry zaps Doof and he goes on an eating rampage cleaning out buffets left and right.
The boys are looking to untie a really big knot. Meanwhile, Candace gets zapped by Doof and eats said knot which is made from licorice. Jeremy heads on over to Candace’s with an unopened safe for her bros. Buford gets the safe opened and finds out that its Jeremy’s old pencil with Candace’s teeth marks.
Awwwwwww, how sweet of an ending…In any case this week had a double dose of normal in terms of Phineas and Ferb and strangely enough both Doof/Perry plots dealt with food. Doof just leveling buffets was rather funny, but the boys licorice maze was really just an attempt for a sing along. I mean the writers must’ve ran out of ideas with Phineas and Ferb if they needed to insert a random Jeremy thread into the mix, right?
6.5 out of 10
With her parents set to be outside bird watching today at 4, Candace uses this as an opportunity to catch her brothers. She even goes so far as to stand-in for Isabella in recording an audio book with Irving so that the Fireside Girl reader can stay and help Phineas and Ferb with their rock wall.
Candace muscles through the really long book and comes home in time to see the rock wall still up. She goes inside to get her mom but when she comes back the wall gets taken out by birds.
Meanwhile, Perry heads over to Doof to find out he created a new machine that makes ppl want to end their dinner plans early in favor of dessert. Thankfully, Perry zaps him with it which causes a big food fight between the two ending in dual sugar rushes, but the -inator rocket takes off and Perry has to fly on top of it to stop it. The rocket blows up, but not before zapping Linda Fletcher causing her to take her bird-watching friends inside for a little dessert.
This was probably the better of the half-hour tonight mainly because the Phineas and Ferb plot had more substance and as a result was a lot funnier than the first episode. I was also laughing quite a bit with Doof and Perry bouncing all over the place and more so when the rocket blows up mid-Doof sentence. Still though, nothing quite memorable this week.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
