Robot Chicken / DC Comics was a pretty rad special, so it was no surprise to hear an announcement of a sequel at the Upfronts this past year. That said, the special isn’t due to release until 2014, but that hasn’t stopped Seth Green from spilling some juicy detail. In a ‘first look’ with Entertainment WeeklySeth notes that this special will see the return of Al Molina as ‘Lex Luthor’ (if you haven’t already, get the Blu-Ray of the first special, and watch and marvel at Al’s talent at taking on this role) and will help give this iteration a closer look at the villains as opposed to the Super Friends heavy prequel.

According to Seth Green, Robot Chicken / DC Comics Special II: Villains in Paradise is said to have more of a “West Side Story/Romeo and Juliet star-crossed love story” involving a potential relationship between Superboy and Lex Luthor’s daughter Lori.  Also, one downside might be the return of Steven Tyler set to do another terrible musical rendition of something nobody wants. In any case, the special sounds like it could be great, but let’s see if they can swing Mark Hamill in for ‘Joker’.

Seth Green is all over San Diego Comic Con this weekend, but after the events have concluded and his hangovers have subsided he will begin work on the follow up.
