The one dragging thing that seems to make the Superjail DVD’s suffer is the fact that none of them are uncensored. For most shows this may not be the worst thing in the world, but when you have a series that is based on carnage, blood, and splatter you want the added value of seeing all the parts you can’t see on TV. Family Guy does it, American Dad does it, but some reason NOT Superjail. So, when you want to buy the DVD, what is the added value here? If it’s ownership, I can purchase each episode of last season for $2 a pop which would get be to $20 after 10 episodes. I bought my copy at FYE for $17.00 OR I could’ve done the same for buying the disc on Amazon for $14, but after shipping costs I’m not sure if I’m saving a whole lot there. Even worse is the fact that the special features aren’t all that great, as you really just get a collection of animatics and Rough Cuts with the Introstring MAYBE being the only thing of value put on the disc.

Superjail is a great show, that’s not the issue here. The issue here is that there is not much added value on the home release of Superjail and as such can’t recommend a buy. If you really want to have all of the episodes, go on adultswim.com or just DVR them when they come on TV. You would be better off in saving the cash.
