I finally had a chance to check out Sexual Lobster‘s new series  Rage Melon on Happy Hour and I must say…it’s pretty awesome.

We have annoying oranges, now we have raging melons thanks to Sexual Lobster’s new series Rage Melon. A series that follows a Melon that is out to perform menial tasks for those that ask, but this week it looks as though he is beginning to set out on his own on a mission to take down an old nemesis. However, this is after everyone thought he was dead because the son of a bitch fell off a chicken coup that he was supposed to be caring for only to totally Wolverine up and get put back together.

The short is very funny and I love the Rage Melon character. Some of the animation seems lazy though i.e. the snake that looks like its the size of a truck. But, overall this is a very well written short for a series that I think has a lot of promise on Happy Hour’s already busy slate. Hopefully this one can peek through the crowd and stay around because I would love to see more ragin melons and less annoying oranges.
