Shorts Review: Sanity Not Included Episode 7

I’m gonna be honest, folks. I am fully immersed in catching up on the last season of Machinima’s Red vs. Blue, since the new one begins June 14. And guess who will have the review for you… So if you haven’t caught up, hurry! And if you haven’t watched the show before, well, it has had 10 full seasons so far, so you better get started. There. Shamelessly plugged.

Now, onto this review thing, I guess.

I only found a few funny skits in this week’s Sanity Not Included. The soup one may have been the only prolonged bit that was funny, but a few short ones (“Fuck you, motherfucker! This doesn’t look like no Burger King to me!”) were worthy of a laugh.

There was a nice jab (or four) at the new Xbox One, and the Aleks & Dex segment featured the duo inside of a game (inside of a plane) and thus very little of their actual animated selves. This bit did have a funny line, Aleks rationale to Dex why he should be the lead salesman whilst they peddle their goods about a neighborhood: “I studied being a door-to-door salesman in clown college.”

Other than that, most of the jokes fell flat, and the episode felt oddly short, even though it was the usual 10-minute runtime.

Whatever though, I’m sure it’ll be fine again next week.

So seriously: watch the Red vs. Blue Season 11 premier (tonight at 10pm EST).

And come back for the review of RvB up until this point, as well as for the new episode.

And don’t listen to anything that anyone tells you to do.

Except for that.

And that.

And that and that and that.

. . . and that.
