Shorts Review: @Abuelo_Com Episode 1 from @MarmotaStudio
Spoilers Below
Abuelo is your quintessential old and senile man, with no idea or recognition of the world of internet and computers. His grandson decides to take off for a moment and leaves him with the simple task of making a ‘click’. in the midst of his drowsiness Abuelo agrees to complete the task for his grandson without even realizing he has no idea what a ‘click’ is. confused he approaches the computer and finds himself in a overwhelming bombardment of adds and viral alerts, concluding the episode with the old man fainting and his grandson presuming he is dead, ounce again.
Abuelo was a pleasant and refreshing surprise given that I didn’t expect much excitement from such a short segment of time, this minni episode offers a number of laughs, small and large whilst keeping it short and sweet. I find the concept behind this show to be quite clever yet simple. I cant imagine why the obviousness of elders’ perplexity towards our modern technological advancements havent been used more often for comedic advantage, never the less kudos are given to whoever made it happen. I found the voice acting to be one of the main reasons this episode sparked laughter in me. The voice of Abuelo is uncanny and oddly familiar as if he could embody our own relatives in some similarity. Animation was simple yet creative, gotta love the google reference and the crying pug. over all this ones a relief, if you want to cheer someone up or get a laugh out of a friend, just pull this one out of the youtube bag.
9/10
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
