Review: Fish Hooks ‘A Charity Fair to Remember ‘

Spoilers Below

Bea organizes a big charity event to benefit clumsy kids including her pen pal Amanda. The benefit is to raise 10 grand with all of the proceeds going to try and create a cool playground for the clumsy school. The event seems to be going alright, but Bea notices that Mr. Mussels and Coach Salmons aren’t exactly helping the cause with their terribly producers Macho Muffins and as a result asks them to come up with something else otherwise they won’t be able to raise enough money for charity. With Milo manning a catapult stand, and Oscar reading peoples’ fortunes, Bea returns to Macho Muffins to find out neither Coach nor Mussels has come up with anything valuable. As a result the three brainstorm and come up with a ferris-wheel that you sit on and knit. At first, the ride seems like a great idea, but no one wants to ride it. But, when Bea orders more speed the wheel comes off, crashes through their aquarium, and nearly destroys the clumsy school. Thankfully, a bunch of Macho Muffins were able to destroy the ride which in itself made a pretty bad-ass looking playground for clumsy kids.

I actually thought this quarter-hour episode was better than the last one as overall I thought it was funnier and had a better twist ending. For example, Oscar reading fortunes was pretty comical albeit if a little short and Milo fixing his game for charity definitely leaves you wondering if he does the right thing. It was great seeing Tiny Lister back as Mussels as I really enjoy that character and to pair him up with Simmons’ Salmons was a great idea and both did a great job in helping lay a foundation for a rather awesome twist ending.
