First Look: IDW Publishing posts up first look at Black Dynamite #1 cover designed by Six Point Harness Studios!

We were asked to write something about this, but we derived a completely different take from a press release we got from IDW…BLACK DYNAMITE #1 cover!!

This is big…big big. How big? Like White King Kong big.  IDW Publishing sent us a press release detailing the fact that there will be animated variant covers inspired by some of the great cartoons of yesteryear like Scooby-Doo/X-Files and what not. But, what we got out of it was something else…see if you can see it in this pic:

Notice anything?? You can enlarge it if you want. Yep…that’s it. Lower left hand corner. That’s right BLACK DYNAMITE #1. We’ve been talking about the comic series based off of the popular Adult Swim series which is based off of the popular live-action film of the same name Black Dynamite so it was only a matter of time before we got a cover and here it is. Better yet, the variant cover is being done by none other than Six Point Harness (Dick Figures) the same studio whom produced the opening title sequence for said movie so it’s almost like we are getting a throwback before Titmouse took over the production for the highly acclaimed Adult Swim show.  Black Dynamite #1 is set to drop in comic shops everywhere sometime this September and you can bet your ass we are going to have reviews and a whole bunch of other cool shit in the mean time not only for the comics but for the return of the series as well.
