Bubbleblabber UK: ‘Space Stallions’ animated series to be produced brings on ‘Gold’

Former Beavis and Butthead producer joins another up and coming animated web series…

A little more than a year ago a student film came out that took the Youtubers by storm garnering about 800,000 hits in under a year which is quite good for a film not made in America that lands in an overtly crowded landscape. That student film was called Space Stallions and it was created by Thorvaldur Gunnarsson and Agust Freyr Kristinsson from Denmark and according to Worldscreen.com the guys are teaming up with CAKE and Gunhill Ltd. to create a full fledged series based on said short film. The premise of the series will be more or less a parody of popular cartoons like He-Man and Thundercats where as the show is stylized like an 80s action show, but in the student film one of the characters named ‘Sun-Ray’ breaks out a keytar for a crazy solo. 

If that weren’t serious enough for you, Writer/producer Andy Rheingold (Executioner, Beavis and Butthead) has joined the show as a developer and to be honest that’s a pretty legit name to take on so you know these Cake guys mean business.
