Sigur Ros to Appear on Season Finale of The Simpsons (@thesimpsons)

And I have NO idea who these guys are…

Outside of heavy metal, I don’t know a whole hell a lot about other types of music so when Pitchfork posted up an article saying how Sigur Ros was going to appear on the season finale of The Simpsons, I decided to do some research. Guess what….it didn’t help. That said, the premise of the finale sounds bad ass as it focuses on one Carl Carlson whom apparently is from Iceland (yea, I had no idea either) so it makes sense to have an Icelandic band score the intro, contribute music, and then guest star as themselves!

Also according to the article, Sigur Ros has a new album out June 18th in the US and June 17th everywhere else and that the guest appearance will happen on May 19th @ 8pm EST as part of a one-hour finale only on FOX.
