Review: Regular Show ‘Cool Cubed’

SPLUUSHHHHEEEESSSS!!! Some people can take rain freezes like a champ and they’d be right??? Thomas gets the ‘Cool Cubed’ a frozen drink imported from teh Arctic that right away freezes his face STONE COLD! Worse yet, its not just a brain freeze that Thomas gets rather his entire body runs stiff which gets Mordecai, Rigby, and Pop all nervous. The guys end up bringing him over to Skips, but he recommends a Dr. Henry of whom is supposed to be a natural at this stuff. The Dr., tells the guys that the Cool Cubed has frozen three-quarters of Tom’s brain and like a cancer it spreads until it covers every square inch because if it doesn’t get stopped Thomas stays frozen….FOR EVER!!

The guys only have five minutes, and Henry has to shrink Mordecai and Rigby so that they can get in Thomas’ brain. Once inside, Thomas’ body is like a frozen tundra. They quickly run into Tom’s consciousness and he tells them where to find the brain core. The cube is almost there, so everyone suits up and heads into battle!! First, Mordecai and Rigby knock out the Cube’s friend, then they go after the core with dynamite but the splushee falls in! Thankfully, Mordecai is able to set off the dynamite that goes in, too and the guys are able to race back and wake up Thomas before Mordecai and Rigby regrow back to their regular sizes.

Growing up, I never lived more than a mile from someone who didn’t have a Slurpee or a Slush Puppy and yes these brain freeze challenges were very real. That said, they usually just ended with us in a diabetic coma, but I would have LOVED someone climbing in MY brain! In any case, this week’s Regular Show was cool all over but I can’t help but try and compare this episode to ‘guy’s night’ which in my opinion was done a lot better. In any case, this week’s episode isn’t going to disappoint anyone.
