SPOILERS AHEAD!!

So, BW #8 brought the conclusion of the latest arc of brain altering computer viruses. If you didn’t follow this from the beginning, this story gets a little bit confusing, especially since one of the characters is a robot, then himself again. Anyway, here’s the synopsis.

When we last left off, Danny’s brain is in a robot, and Danny’s body is trying to reinvent the mop into a heroic weapon. Neither of which is working out, except that Dannybot learns how to firewall the virus out of his brain. That allows him to find the scientists to attempt to put his brain back into his body, and save his friends. However, the Feds arrive, and attempt to arrest Danny for hacking brains. Danny and the ship work together to hack the virus in the others, just in time for them to help Danny take care of the feds. Everything ends up working out, and Dannybot realizes he has a face.

“Beth’s Secret,” is the B-plot of the issue. If you’ve been reading my reviews, you know how I feel about B-plot comics. This was a freaking hilarious change of pace.  Beth was looking up “Disgruntled Pig,” and she showed the crew. Then the browser history goes batty, and the computer just shows everything she has been looking at. They crew laughs her out of the room. From there, she takes a sledgehammer, and goes to smash her friendship tribute statue for them.

I’m not going to lie, I hope the staff keeps Dannybot around for a while. He made the second half of the arc very amusing. Unfortunately, I can’t help but feel that the arc was rushed a bit. It had a lot of build up, and ended rather abruptly. So, I was a little unhappy about that. It doesn’t detract from the book a lot, though. It was a funny read. Hell, any book that has a B-plot that made me literally laugh out loud gets a seal of approval from me.
