New Eden is by far my favourite series on the HuHa YouTube channel. This show does a lot with the micro story telling window available to most YouTube animators and is a good example of what good story tellers do with a limited number of pages. The humour is good and dark too. How dark? Well how about this:  every one you know and love is dead in the New Eden universe, but worse than that they’re grandchildren have snuffed it as well and all the hope  you might have been clinging to for the future of our species the is  in the hands of characters that would be just as at home in a stoner comedy as on the deck of a star ship.

But this last episode was such a tease that I am now certain the writers have JJ. Abrams level talent and heart blacker than the smoke monster in Lost . To be fair, the video is just a teaser with Murray, the Shatner type,  showing the kind of irrational self-assurance that the British people have come to identify Americans, that “F@*k it” sensibility that gets things done and trillion dollar space stations  reduced to rubble.  This was a good teaser, and I can’t wait for to see just how many Darwin awards the New Eden cast manages to rack up.
