Spoilers Below

Crash and Bernstein are pumped that the end of school is almost here, but Mel reminds them that they have to do two hours of community service before they are eligible to be promoted to the eighth grade. With the parade right around the corner, everyone’s getting pretty pumped, too including news stand guy Roland of whom decides to pick up local celeb Amanda as the parade chairman. The reason why Amanda’s any sort of celeb is because years ago she fell down a well and was rescued on closed-circuit TV.  That said, there’s still work to be done and so Crash and Bernstein decide to clean up the school to help shave off some of that community service time, but after Crash messes it up,  the school calls Mel and tells her the time doesn’t count in exchange for not pressing charges. We find out that Crash has no interest in getting into the eighth grade so he’s trying to sabotage the community service so that he and Bernstein never leaves the comfort that is seventh grade.

Amanda is getting ready to be Sacagawea for the parade, but despite the fact that she doesn’t know who that is, she’s all on board because being the famous figure gets you all sorts of discounts at the mall. Unfortunately, the former Sacagawea isn’t giving up her seat without a fight!  When the parade starts, Roland asks Crash and Bernstein to pick up horse poop.  The parade goes off without a hitch, but then the Sacagaweas have an argument and Crash shits all over it courtesy of his wheelbarrow full of poo. Thankfully, with the help of hot air, Crash turns into a float and gives the parade attendees a rousing conclusion.  Oh yea, and we also find out that me and Crash have something in common, neither one of us has liked Pesto this entire year!

This week’s C&B was pretty funny, but I felt the Amanda plot was funnier and as a result would’ve liked to have seen more of it. For whatever reason Oana Gregory as Amanda has been really sharp the last few episodes as she is able to deliver zingers and light insults to anything that moves and her delivery is rather on point. Cleo felt kind of pushed to the side this week, as was Pesto, but the latter usually helps the show. It was awesome seeing Amy Birdsong aka Mel return from wherever the hell she’s been for the last month because her comedic timing and brash sense of humor usually helps Wyatt move things along when his dialogue soaks. Crash was his usually crazy self, serving up such great moments as messing around with the floor buffer, carrying a whole bunch of doodie up and down the parade street, and giving us that one last zinger near the end. Big props goes to the production crew as despite the small set, they were able to pull off a rather impressive parade. Other props goes to newcomer ‘Roland’ as the parade chairman of whom I think is pretty funny and he definitely has his presence felt in the story lines. I’d like to see more of him next season, but I think we still have a few more for the summer…that is unless if you are a delinguent summer schooler!
