We love it when the fans get a voice and who better than us to give them a microphone?? Enter Kaz McQ, the creator of the petition we posted about yesterday with the hopes of bringing back the animated monolith known as Beavis and Butt-Head. You may remember that we wondered whether or not the long-time MTV deal had been officially moved to Comedy Central or not. Turns out Kaz and his partner James want exactly that to happen. Find out more after the jump!

Tell me why you created this campaign?
I created this campaign because I have felt that Beavis and Butt-Head ‘s revival is actually one of the rare revivals that actually worked. It got positive critical acclaim
from fans of the original run, the show gained some new fans, and if I dare say so myself: The new episodes are actually a lot funnier than the older episodes. This is something that
I wouldn’t expect, as I am a huge fan of the old episodes, but the new episodes cranks up the humour to 11, and makes it twice, no three times as funny. I also feel as if, despite
the show’s revival being in a different era, that the show works just as well as it did in the 1990s. It’s humour doesn’t feel dated, and the humour stayed the same for the most part, and just updated the references, without harming old or new fans. I actually think it works just as well as “South Park” and “Family Guy” , and many people such as myself were baffled when
we found out that the show was on hiatus. We certainly don’t want it canceled.
Who is involved with this campaign and how did you come up with the concept?
I am, my friend called James Harrison is, and I came up with it because I was waiting for the show to come back with another season and I became really obsessed at one point with it, and I saw that hardly anyone was making petitions, in spite of wanting the show back. So I thought I would do this myself. Plus, it works as Mike Judge suggested that MTV should
move the show to another network, and it got positive feedback from the “Comedy Central” marathon in 2012. Some even tweeted more about “Beavis and Butt-Head” than “South Park”.
What are some of your favorite memories of Beavis and Butthead?
My favorite memories is the show’s original run, the last couple of seasons, and especially the movie and the original finale. The original finale was so touching, sure it was comedic, but it actually made me cry. I know the ending credits were supposed to be for laughs but it made me cry knowing that the show had ended. I hardly cry at shows finishing, so that’s saying a lot. And I feel like the movie was originally the best part of the entire franchise, until the new episodes. I think the new episodes are just as good and as hilarious as the movie. I do love the old episodes, but the movie and the new episodes?! ABSOLUTELY ADORE THEM!
Which characters do you feel were the best?
Principal McVicker, Beavis and Butt-Head(obviously), Mr Van Driessen(I love how he cares for Beavis and Butthead, despite most people feeling annoyed by them), Stewart and Daria, despite her departure after the show was cancelled.
Are there other animated shows that have been canceled that you may want to spread the word about?
Yes. “Rugrats” is one that I feel should be revived. I know people have said the show was revived before, but truthfully, it wasn’t. It was put on hiatus in 1994, and aired the specials in between, before canceling it. Then, when the specials got great reviews/ratings and the reruns did successfully, they renewed it. It has left the same legacy on Nickelodeon, as Beavis and Butt-Head has done for “MTV”, so why not say yes to reviving it?! “Hey Arnold”, “Invader Zim”, “Mission Hill and “Clone High” should be revived as well, as well as maybe “Ren and Stimpy” (but on Comedy Central this time).
Were you a fan of Daria, and if so would u like to see that show come back?
I actually do like Daria. I mean it was different from Beavis and Butt-Head, but still very entertaining and gave us more depth and thought about Daria and absolutely. I’d love for it to be on Comedy Central though.
Is there anything else you would like to say to our readers?
Yes, there is: If you want to try and revive the show and the network has no interest: Don’t give up! Just because they have no interest doesn’t mean it should not commence. The
show should just move to another network. Please help us with this Beavis and Butt-Head cause. Plus, with them being on Comedy Central, I actually feel that they can rip on more stuff than they already have.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
