Spoilers Below

After Sheila’s sleep is disrupted by a rogue moonbeam, it’s up to Norm to use his ingenuity to put an end to it. Although after several attempts, one solution creates another problem and so on. Elsewhere, during the preproduction of the canyon’s annual theatre night, director Sid believes Roxy is “the chosen one” and wants her to star in the upcoming variety show, since the show can’t go on without her. This gives a dollar-sign-eyed Jake another chance to scheme by representing his sister as her agent. But of course, his delusions of monetary gain are crushed after learning that admission to the show is free.

Meanwhile, after Norm runs out of ideas and quits, Sheila hires the Butane boys, Sly and Butch, to solve her sleeping problem, which only results in poor workmanship and a worrisome Norm. But Sheila is so sleep deprived that she is willing to miss her daughter’s theatrical debut, in order to catch a few Z’s.Of course, the show must go on, and the lineup includes Reginald Manderbelt ridiculing Bjorn, his Norwegian servant and Frida the cook, as an exhibitionist, who has already spent the whole episode trying to find an excuse to get naked.

This was one of the slower episodes, as the plot was nothing new and there were fewer jokes than usual. But seeing that Uncle Vernon got less screen time is an omen for such an episode. There were a few memorable jokes though, including some dark humor regarding Michael J. Fox. Yes, they went there.
