Review: Crash and Bernstein ‘Crashtagion’

Wyatt is just coming down from getting the flu, but now Cleo and Mel have whatever he had. As a result, Crash and Bernstein have to take care of the sick as Amanda is useless and they are the only ones that can help.  Eventually, Amanda gets all excited because she’s gonna meet a foreign exchange student but guess what?? She gets sick, too which means Crash and Bernstein aren’t going to be able to go on their camping trip. This causes Crash to start getting freaked out about germs and he starts on a new campaign to get rid of them all even though he has no idea what they really are.  Wyatt, however, is more worried about the camping trip so he convinces Crash to help him cure his family so that he can go but not before Crash locks himself in a bubble for his latest attempt at staving off germs. Thankfully, Mel gets over her illness, but Crash refuses to leave his bubble to go with Wyatt on his trip. However, despite Crash’s best efforts, the bubble does no good because he ends up getting sick anyway and he becomes a huge Youtube sensation because of his puking power!

This joke was starting to run its course during the run of the episode. Seriously, this is one of those weeks where it might have been beneficial to get a decent ‘B’ plot going because every sick joke has been heard before and it was being used more than once by the time the episode was over. That said, as someone who just got over being sick, it was funny being able to commiserate with Crash and his bubble. As a matter of fact, that was probably one of the few highlights of the episode with Crash in his bubble, but that alone can’t carry. This one probably should have been flushed.
