Spoilers Below

There’s this new lady that lives in the complex and she serves as a new partner in crime for Crash. They pull pranks, and love junk food..you’d think they were married? Her name is Ms. Lopez and she goes to Alaska leaving behind a shit ton of cash for Crash making him filthy rich! He soon shows everyone else in the family all the cash he just scored and he is just giving it away. Cleo decides to sign on as a money manager to help Crash well, manage his money. Amanda is worried Crash is going to change attitudes cuz of the cash, but he swears he won’t. Eventually, Crash purchases a cannon of which Wyatt shoots him out of…or tries to anyway cuz it doesn’t work. You know what DOES work? Shooting a bunch of cash all over town!

Later, Crash and Bernstein hang out in a hot air balloon and when they get home, Wyatt finds his entire room pretty much remade.  The money gets so impressive, the arcade opens up a VIP section where Poulos shows up dressed as Crash’s dad so that he can teach his ‘son’ how to manage his money.  By managing money, we mean spend it crazy, Crash gets Cleo an assistant, Amanda gets a bunch of clothes, and Jasmine gets a bouncing castle. Meanwhile with Wyatt running for school president, Crash decides to help fund his campaign and even pays for smear campaigns against Scottie Dalton. You would think Scottie would be mad, but Crash pays him off and a bunch of votes which means Wyatt is the winner. Turns out Wyatt doesn’t want to win this way and admonishes Crash for being a jerk ever since he got a bunch of money.

Pesto jumps in with Wyatt out with the name of Bernstein 2.0 but Crash learns that his friends really are only into him for the money and he starts kicking people out of his VIP.  Eventually, Crash calls a meeting with the family not including Wyatt and afterwards tells Bernstein that he spent all the money anyway which causes everyone to hate him. That said, Crash learns a lesson that money isn’t everything but blowing up mountains is fun! Lopez comes back and yells at Crash for spending all that money, but at least Poulos rescinds a potential marriage offer.

Your prototypical ‘money doesn’t buy happiness’ plot, but with Crash on board it somehow works a little different. His brashness and pretty funny one-liners puts the stuffed one in prime position to deliver jokes that might be a little harder to do in other DisneyXD shows because usually they are filled with horrible acting. Yes, Crash and Bernstein doesn’t have the best acting, but Cleo and Crash bring such a professionalism that it usually masks it. The other problem I’m having with this show is that the network keeps changing up the time slots which as well know, is a bad thing.  We are at the half-way point of the season for this show, its no time for Disney to be mucking stuff up.

thumbs up
