COMICS REVIEW: SIMPSONS COMICS #199
Spoilers Below
THE BIDS ARE ALL RIGHT
After watching a popular storage reality show on TV, Homer ditches Marge’s paint chores and takes the kids to his own storage unit so that he can see if he has anything of value. Obviously, Homer probably knows more about the value of bacon than of precious treasures. Eventually, finds an old German cuckoo clock that his dad got in the war, but after taking it to various reality shows, shops, and museums, no one seems to know what it is. One day, Homer gets a mysterious phone call from a dude looking for a meeting in Shelbyville so that he may ask about the clock and we soon learn that its Howard Hughes Jr. After giving Homer and the kids an offer of about $2 mil for the old antique, Homer and the kids run back home to try and get their pay day only to find out that Marge gave the clock away to an old lady claiming to be the prior owner. Unfortunately, it looks as though all of the Simpsons were wrong because both the old lady and Howard Hughes Jr., were hired by an old and cranky billionaire that runs the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and he only wanted it so he could smash it to bits guaranteeing that he has the only clock left of that kind in existence.
I’m not going to lie, seeing Homer mingle with derivations of some of my favorite reality shirts is about as funny as advertised. From Storage Wars to American Pickers and Pawn Stars, it was pretty brilliant seeing Homer interact with ‘Simpsonized’ versions of popular names from those shows. The twist ending was pretty rad, too and without a doubt definitely worth the purchase price. I didn’t particularly enjoy the two cut away scenes, but overall this issue was all right.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
