RATINGS ARE IN: AND THE SIMPSONS ARE DEPRESSING 1/27
The Simpsons were only able to muster a 1.2 in the overnight ratings which for me has depressing ALL over it. It used to be that the longtime FOX animated series was a great lead in for a show like Bob’s Burgers which is a bit newer and could use the bump. Instead, Bob’s is what kicks off AniDom and The Simpsons ratings are starting to look like The Cleveland Show. Don’t believe me?? Here is an excerpt from Deadline.com:
Fox kicked off its Sunday comedy block with a Bob’s Burgers (0.8/2) repeat. That was followed with a new episode of The Cleveland Show (1.2/8), which slipped 8% from its last new show two weeks ago. The Simpsons (1.2/3) was even with its January 13 show, while a new Bob’s Burgers (2.0/5) was down 13% from its last original two weeks ago. While the highest-rated entertainment show of the night among the key 18-49 demo, Family Guy (2.8/7) was down 13% from its last original two weeks ago as was American Dad (2.1/5).
Yep, and it gets worse because we wont get any new AniDom for the next two weeks, so we will have to monitor this number closely because if it gets any lower who knows what the future of The Simpsons could be?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
