For those of whom still have a boner over the ‘A Very Venture Halloween” presented as sort of a prelude to the new season, you might want to just watch some old episodes for a little while longer because judging from the most recent post coming from creator Jackson Publick, it might still be a little while until we get some fresh new episodes.  That’s right, because although original debut of the episodes were said to air in either January or February, we instead are looking at a March-May time frame juust for the START according to Jackson’s LiveJournal:

“Since we’re idiots who decided to write and produce our hour-long premiere episode last, we can’t start airing until the last episode is finished. I don’t currently know exactly when our premiere date is. I’ve heard it could be as soon as mid-March or as late as early May, but we’re racing to get that premiere special done in time for March”

Sucks right?? But, hey we’ve waited a number of years for new Venture, what’s a few months?? Not to mention that the list of guest stars sure do sound tasty. Already, we’ve seen how great J.K. Simmons did, Jackson would list out the others::

(Incidentally, the guest voices this season include J.K. Simmons, Larry Murphy, Paget Brewster, John Hodgman, Wyatt Cenac, Tim Meadows, Gillian Jacobs, Bill Hader, and the kicking-ass-on-SNL-this-season Kate McKinnon!)”

Not gonna lie, Wyatt Cenac, John Hodgman, and Tim Meadows are the highlights for me on this one, as now I can not wait until those episodes air. Some other interesting notes from Jackson’s post include that we are going to see the introduction of new characters and the return of old ones,  the long-form Venture Bros special that is said to bridge the gaps between Season 5 and 6 is in pre-prod mode, and when that’s done Season 6 production is set to begin.

So there you have it folks, Jackson would also upload a bunch of great looking pics and from the looks of it I totally agree with him that the production studio switch to Titmouse is definitely paying off because the environments look fantastic, complete with luscious backgrounds that really help articulate the already stellar detail in the character models.

I actually do have one question from all this, and that’s will Venture Bros have any impact on the start dates for Metalocalypse?? Last season the stellar fourth season would premier in April, so one has to wonder if this now means a start date for maybe next June if not Fall 2013. Your thoughts??
