REVIEW: SUPERJAIL “PLANET RADIO”

The Superjail tenants get sappy with some daytime trash TV.

The Warden usually does a good job of keeping a lid on any kind of terrible radio which is good because terrible radio would ruin my day, too. However, the Warden doesn’t want the tenants being bored so he starts up a new TV network inspired by early MTV and greenlights its first program called the Warden Show, a new talk show where the Warden brings on guests in front of a viewing audience gaining a ton of critical acclaim. Jealous of the Warden’s new success, Stingray teams up with a team of rats to bring down the show once and for all in favor of good ol’ fashioned radio.

Turns out not only is the Warden Show taking off, but wTV has a WHOLE bunch of content that seems to be taking off including Jailpup starring Jailbot. Unfortunately, Jailbot gets taken out by all the rats and Stingray and Rat’s radio show new show ‘Planet Radio’. Soon, all of Superjail goes nuts because they don’t have their favorite show. To fight back, the tenants and crew invade the rat nest and go to town of which Jailbot comes back but scumbag Stingray flies away.

Is Superjail gearing up for another surprise season finale cliffhanger?? Cuz, that last scene had me thinking like it could! Other than that the fight scene with the rats seemed kinda short and standard with the exception of Alice and the crew’s rendition of CATS! BAM!!! Betcha didn’t see that one coming. Overall, the plot this week seemed kind of bleh with not a lot of time spent on building up on how cool it would be for Warden to have his own talk show. However, the throwback MTV look complete with the astronaut and logo coming to life and slaughtering inmates might be an image I don’t quite forget anytime soon!
