RATINGS ARE IN FOR 12/16: ANIDOM TAKES HIT DUE TO PRE-EMPTS
We were the first ones to report that not only was American Dad and Family Guy pulled from this past Sunday Night’s lineup post the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre, but that in the Northeast the rest of the shows were ultimately pulled in favor of showing the President at a procession for those whom lost their lives in a horrific act. That said, the ratings certainly took a hit as evidenced by Deadline.com:
Over on Fox, the network’s Sunday animation block also saw football overruns and changes due to the shooting in Newtown – and not just because of Obama’s speech. Both Family Guy and American Dad saw holiday themed episodes replaced by repeats due to content sensitivity related to the shooting. With football eating into its slot, The Cleveland Show (1.3/4) repeat started the night. That was followed by a new episode of The Cleveland Show (1.4/4), which was down 13% from two weeks back. The Simpsons (1.9/5) was down 44% from last week’s show and its NFL lead-in. Interrupted by the President’s speech, Bob’s Burgers (1.2/3) then spilled over into The Family Guy (1.6/4) and American Dad(1.6/4 & 1.5/4) repeats that closed out Fox’s primetime.
For those asking for the reviews, we do hear ya and we do want to get them up, our goal is to get the AniDom reviews up either later this week or sometime next week.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
