COMICS REVIEW: BRAVEST WARRIORS #3

This clown planet is getting the Bravest Warriors super-down, man. But if someone needs saving, then they’re the dudes to do it! The comic adaptation of the new show from ADVENTURE TIME creator Pendelton Ward!

The Warriors are fighting it out trying to save the clowns from all sorts of evils like zombies, space sharks, and big ugly monsters. After winning in somewhat convincing fashion the guys ind a big ol’ house and in it are even MORE gross monsters! To be continued…

‘Bravest Warrior’

Danny has to recount a story on how he survived the Warriors’ latest hostage situation. However, Beth starts to get suspicious if the story is true or not when Danny’s tale is filled with hadokens, controlling animals with mind bullets, and Wallow offering up grapes and leaf fans. After a while Beth just gives up, but Chris might know better.

Other then the well-done loose-leaf drawn look of ‘Bravest Warrior’ that resembled old-school China, IL #3 was a pretty big disappointment. Not gonna lie, for $4 I felt pretty ripped off in just getting a story that linked #2 and #3 with no real clarity or humor. Also, this whole ‘heck’ shit is starting to get on my nerves. Dear, people who make the Bravest Warriors comic, if you say the word ‘hell’ instead of the word ‘heck’ in the scripts, it comes out quite a bit funnier. Let me show you an example, ready? “Food Court Zombies from Heck” sounds lame, “Food Court Zombies from Hell sounds a bit better, don’t you think?? Hope I kept my receipt for this one.
