REVIEW: FAMILY GUY “Joe’s Revenge”
Guest Cast Will Sasso: Bobby Briggs
Spoilers Below
Bobby Briggs has been caught which makes Joe happy because that’s the guy who handicapped him. Turns out Joe was in on an undercover drug sting in Bobby’s crew years back, but when he gets caught well he loses his legs. However, Bobby escapes pretty quickly and as such Joe decides to go and try and capture him but his police chief won’t let him. Peter comes up with the brilliant idea that together with Quagmire, they can track down Bobby and stop him once and for all.
Peter and the gang decide to go to Atlantic City to track down the fugitive, this means that Glenn has to leave his cat with Lois and the kids. Once the guys get to AC, they question a local stripper of whom tells them everything about were Briggs is staying. Eventually, they track the asshole down and that leads to a big chase that ends in Bobby getting away and the guys getting arrested by corrupt local cops. Thanks to Quagmire’s Swiss-Army penis, the guys are able to steal a cop car and go to the Mexico/US border to try and stop him. Briggs actually does show up two days later and we get another chase this time with Bobby and Joe similar to a Peter/Chicken fight. The standoff ends in Joe killing Briggs.
I gotta tell ya…not all that impressed with this week’s Family Guy. I mean, for one there were really no cutaway gags to speak of that were all that funny. Granted we had Spider-Man show up that was it. The plot seemed pretty run of the mill with all the guys going on another road trip to stop something from happening. Granted it ended in a pretty entertaining fight, but there just wasn’t all that much to keep me interested. The ‘B’ plot with Quagmire’s cat I was really looking forward to but it only had two scenes total…granted they were funny but there just wasn’t enough there to overcome the cliched Joe plot. A rather strong performance from the great Will Sasso goes to waste, and as such someone should get revenge on who ever wrote this pile of garbage.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
