COMICS REVIEW: FUTURAMA COMICS #63
The Planet Express crew makes a delivery to the robot pleasure planet of Shangri-linux, where the atmosphere is lethal to humans, and so Professor Farnsworth simply transfers both Fry and Leela’s consciousness into robots that share their likeness. But everything starts to go awry when Bender realizes the unsuspecting and vacationing robots are being mindwiped and turned into slaves. Is it time for Bender to grow a conscience? Don’t bet on it!

IGNER-ANCE IS BLISS
Before the Planet Express crew can make a delivery to Shangri-linux they need to be turned into robots because the atmosphere is toxic to everyone except the borgs. As such, the Professor designs a ray guy where he is able to zap minds and transfer them which in this case include robotic versions of Fry, Leela, and Zoidberg. At first Bender takes great pleasure in showing the new bots all the luxuries of being non-human like smoking, drinking, and creating Voltron-esque megazords. But, its not all fun and games as Mom has sent her kids to the planet with an electromagnet strong enough to erase robotic minds
Thankfully, Bender catches wind of the diabolical plot and earlier on swiped the Professor’s ray gun. His mission?? Well, first he smashes robot Fry in the back of the head. Next, he zaps Igner and swaps minds so that Igner is now in Bender’s body and vice versa. After setting in motion like some new conditions like putting Igner in charge, Bender switches back to his robot self with the ray and escapes the planet with his robot friends in tow. That said, Igner and the boys decide to build an amusement park before they leave which Mom loves! Everything is back to normal in Planet Express until the Professor announces the location of the next delivery…the Bottom of the Sea!
Yea, as noted on the cover you aren’t getting what is being advertised but probably thanks to me at least they are telling you now right? That said, Planet Express’s latest adventure offers up quite an entertaining adventure to the vacation spot of the robots . Zoidberg’s constant admiration for his toaster head was really funny and Jiminy Circuits was the best! To answer your question, yes #63 is worth the purchase despite the cover, and here’s hoping we get a few more trips to Shangri-linux!

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
