YEARDLEY SMITH TALKS UP LISA SIMPSON IN NEW INTERVIEW

Lisa Simpson is one of the most adoring characters in the whole The Simpsons universe. She’s smart, funny, and completely misunderstood by her family but we love her to death and can NOT wait to see her and her family on Sept. 30th, as part of The Simpsons 24th season. Having said that, I don’t think any of the acclaim Ms. Simpson gets would be possible without the lovely voice as portrayed by Yeardley Smith of whom was recently in an interview with Collegenews.com where in it she talked about what her and Lisa have in common:

Do you and Lisa Simpson have anything in common?

I’d say one thing we have in common is that we both excelled at something at a young age, and that automatically sets you apart from your peer group. For instance, I did a lot of school plays from age 10, on. By age 14, I was doing professional theater. Some of my classmates thought that was cool; others thought I was just showing off. Lisa is in the same boat given her brilliant academic achievements. The writers on the show always make fun of her for not having any friends. I had friends as a kid, but I’m not sure I ever felt as though I really fit in.

Who would have thought that Lisa and Yeardley Smith were such a perfect match?? Welp, obviously the producers for the longest running animated series in the history of prime time. The Simpsons premiers for its 24th Season on Sept. 30th, 2012 so check your local listings.
