REVIEW: PHINEAS AND FERB “FERB TV”
Phineas and Ferb create their own TV shows and commercials.
Spoilers Below
Phineas and Ferb create a cable called Ferb TV which features many TV shows that parody real shows. Baljeet stars in a show called Doctor Ninja Baljeet which is sort of like a House/9th Grade Ninja thing, Buford stars in a cooking show called Your Food Stinks and So Do You and Suzy that fans of Hell’s Kitchen will enjoy, Jeremy and Norm appear in a sitcom named That’s the Norm which acts as your typical buddy comedy. Meap stars in a commercial for Meap’s Carbonated Goulash which looks gross. Finally, Roger Doofenshmirtz appears in a show called Katt-Karr which is kind of a take on Knight Rider but not only can the car talk, but it acts like a cat which makes crime-fighting all that more difficult.
Overall, I loved the concept. If you have ever seen Seth MacFarlane’s Calvalcade of Cartoon Comedy you have a pretty good idea what you are getting into except “Ferb TV” has all your favorite characters minus Dr. Doof. John Viener as Norm is always a winner providing probably the funniest of all the skits. The great Ray Liotta resurfaces as Roger in an awesome short called Katt-Kar that sees the car chasing after mouse cars and coughing up fur balls! However, a few of the bits like Doctor Ninja and Meap’s Goulash didn’t do much for me. That said, you have to appreciate the change of pace and this was a really good one.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
