IGN TALKS TO ‘ROBOT CHICKEN’ CREATORS ABOUT ‘STAR WARS:DETOURS’

In another lame effort to try and stay relevant when it comes to talking cartoon television, IGN.com recently had a chance to sit down and talk with Seth Green and Matthew Seinreich regarding their recent announcement of Star Wars: Detours. During the course of the interview, the guys had a chance to shed a few more details on the highly anticipated Star Wars comedy and it was actually pretty interesting when asked about the tone of the show as compared to Matt and Seth’s hit series Robot Chicken set to hit Adult Swim this Sunday Night:

Senreich: George said it best: it’s a little young for the older people and a little old for the younger people.

Green: It’s so undefined for the audience right now. We know exactly what the show is, but how people will interpret it is entirely up to them. When people first saw The Simpsons, they didn’t have anything to measure it against. Star Wars is already Star Wars. No matter how you interpret it, even if it’s coming from the guy who made it up, somebody’s going to have a problem with it. And it’s all right. We’re making the show as awesome as we can, and we love Star Wars.

Sounds like a Cartoon Network gig now that we hear more of it. If you want to check out the trailer for Star Wars: Detours check it out here, and if you want to see a full preview of Robot Chicken’s DC cross over special set to air this Sunday Night get that here.
